The 3 Week Handstand Immersion
Open to all levels, from beginner to advanced
Classes are taught twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday. Over the 3 weeks we cover various entrances into the handstands as well as techniques for building strength and endurance in preparation for the handstands.
Students are given voluntary homework assignments each week and if completed properly each student will notice a significant change in progress by the end of the 3 weeks. All students regardless of experience or physical condition will notice huge progress by the time the course is over.
The course is open to everyone, even advanced practitioners.
Yoga Inversions
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
This class focuses on four main inversions, the supported headstand (Salamba Sirsasana), tripod headstand (Sirsasana II as commonly called), forearm balance (Pincha Mayurasana), and the handstands.
The aim of this workshop is to help students get over the fear of being upside down by learning to enter into each inversion in small steps and repeating the steps to create confidence within the mind of the student. Using my teacher’s techniques, anyone can progress in each inversion quickly and increase their awareness in the pose. By increasing our awareness we can eliminate fear and doubt so we can enter the pose safely and responsibly.
The class is open to all levels of practice especially beginners.
Principles of Balance
Beginner, Intermediate
This class is designed around the idea that balance requires attention, breath, and awareness to enter into even the most advanced asanas. This course is geared towards students looking to improve their standing balance poses or those looking to strengthen their legs, ankles, and feet in preparation for advanced standing poses.
In the workshop we explore techniques that start off basic but quickly evolve into more challenging exercises that will definitely improve anyone’s ability to balance. We start off with standing poses and then apply balancing principles to basic inversions and arm balances.
No previous balancing experience is required in fact I encourage those with balancing challenges to come to the workshop, you WILL improve your ability to balance in this workshop.
